Update to the questions about Black Panther’s box office draw:
- According to Forbes magazine, Black Panther tops $700 million world wide in only two weekends
- $400 million domestically
- There have only been three other films to gross $100 million in the second week, Black Panther become the fourth

King T’Challa returns home to Wakanada, after Super Heroes’ Civil War, to be the country’s king — but factions within the country are trying try to keep that from happening. Black Panther fights to prevent Wakanda from going into a civil war. The super hero joins forces with CIA and Dora Milaje .
The Dora Milaje are the personal bodyguards of the Black Panther, comprised of superior Wakandan women — who are also potential queens for the unmarried king, and they only speak to the king or one another.
Now that you know the storyline, what’s going on with African-Americans? Are we hyped or what? The internet is all a buzz about the movie. Some folks are even saying they are taking February 16th off, in order to make that day a holiday and to see the movie. Twitter is all a buzz with #blackpanther .
